PrintWith 1 in every 27 housing units in some level of foreclosure in the first quarter of 2009, Nevada ranked highest in the nation, based on a report by RealtyTrac. This rate is more than 5 times the national average, which stands at 1 in 159 housing units.
Nevada had a total of 19,849 filings for the month of March. This was a 26 percent increase from February and a 159 percent increase from March 2008.
