Data for the year 2008 is the most current data for metropolitan GDP.

Economic growth in nominal terms in Scranton-Wilkes-Barre from 2007 to 2008 was 3.1%, while in real terms the growth was 0.5%.

During the years of 2001-2008, Scranton-Wilkes-Barre GDP grew at an annual rate of 3.8% in nominal terms and in real terms the economy grew by 1.2%.
