Facebook awards more than $1 million to fbFund recipients

PrintThe five grand prize recipients of Facebook's second fbFund competition have been announced. The awardees will receive more than $1 million in grants, in addition to mentorship and marketing resources from Facebook.
The five applications chosen for this award are GroupCard, Kontagent, MouseHunt, Weddingbook and Wildfire. These application are focused in the areas of greeting cards, analytics, gaming, wedding planning, and interactive promotions.
“We started fbFund to encourage innovation on Facebook Platform and remove some of the challenges of starting a company,” said Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO, Facebook.
Each recipient will receive $225,000 in grant funding.
